The Asian Cultures Museum is very popular in Corpus Christi. It is located on the North Chaparral Street. The Asian Cultures Museum is quiet ahead than just being a regular museum, it is a true form of education centre catering to multi generations like providing a window to adults as well as children of different age group to know more and learn about the true essence of ASIA.
In its second floor it homes the education programme.
Every year, more that 2000 children from different social clubs and those in grades through college, visit the museum.
The special educational programs generally showcase on a variety of topics which can be as follows :
Wonders, diversity and beauty of ASIA,
Folktales of ASIA,
Activities such as calligraphy, game, origami and different styles of dressing in ASIA culture and clothing.
It is the only museum dedicated to the Asian Culture in whole of Texas and one in only five present in over all of United States of America. Due to the increase in public awareness towards ASIAN culture to provide the best and the latest of information on these aspects has become one of our most important commitment as an institution. It comprises a huge area of more than 10,000 sq. ft. containing many exhibits from Korea, India, Japan, Philippines, China and many other Asian nations.
