Whataburger Field, is a minor league baseball venue, currently rated as the best stadium in United States of America. It is located at the Port of Corpus Christi.
The stadium provides a magnificent view of the ship channel, harbor -bridge and the city bay. Visitors can easily see the Texas State Aquarium and USS Lexington from inside of the venue itself.
Whataburger Field comprises of 5,052 seats, some 19 luxury suites and 2 outfield berm, this can easily accommodate approx 2,000 fans. It is designed to get the feeling of an old park, taking you back to an era when this sport was languishing in its golden age. The architects and builders while preparing the design of this venue, kept in mind to pay tribute towards the cotton industry and the old warehouses which stood at this very place where the field stands now. New facilities, has the glimpse of the old cotton warehouse and the existing exterior comprises of bricks and steel. The main entrance has 2 huge columns, designed to recap the usual style of roofing which warehouses had at that point of time.
This stadium has plenty of amenities, comprising of, an interactive play ground for kids, a basketball court,a 27’ tall rock wall, a video board i.e.16' high x 22' wide, a Pool, a Spa, Kieschnick's Korner and a spacious covered area for pre-game activities.
